If you’re applying for immigration relief in the Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Roswell, GA region, an immigration mental health evaluation can play a key role in strengthening your case. But where to begin? I’ve put together some answers to common questions about the process, types of cases I support, and what you can expect working with me.
What Happens During the Evaluation Process?
Evaluations begin with a virtual interview. During our conversation, I’ll ask about your history, mental health, and experiences, particularly anything relevant to your immigration case. I strive to offer a calm, respectful space where you can share at your own pace. No judgment here!
What Happens After the Interview?
After we meet, I compile a psychosocial report that includes clinical observations, diagnoses (if applicable), and documentation to support your case. Each report is tailored to your situation and the type of immigration relief you’re seeking.
What Types of Immigration Evaluations Do You Offer?
I have experience with a variety of case types, including:
- Extreme Hardship Waivers – For those facing separation from citizens or lawful permanent resident family members
- Asylum – For individuals fleeing unsafe conditions
- VAWA – For survivors of domestic abuse
- U Visas – For victims of qualifying crimes
- T Visas – For individuals who have been trafficked
How Much Does an Evaluation Cost?
Fees range from $1,300 to $2,100, depending on complexity and turnaround time. If a translation service is required, that would be an additional cost.
How Long Does the Process Take?
Most reports are completed within 2 to 3 weeks. If you have a deadline, please let me know in advance. I am happy to accommodate expedited timelines when possible.
